Meet our team

Edward McClure - Business Owner/Registered Plumber & Gasfitter

My name is Ed McClure, and I am the Owner and Manager of McClure Plumbing Pty Ltd.

I have been a qualified plumber since the age of 19, always with the goal of working for myself and building a business I could be proud of. Over the years, I have worked with well known Hamilton plumbing companies such as Manley’s, Lenehan’s, and McKenzie’s, gaining experience across all areas of plumbing from maintenance and repairs to large new builds.

I have plumbed across three states of Australia, including spending close to two years working exclusively as a roof plumber, often completing a roof a day. This hands-on experience has shaped the way I approach quality, efficiency, and problem-solving on every job.

I love ‘The Baby Blues” and I take pride in the fact that I had three people driving from Hamilton to Konongwootong to be a part of a young and fun team. Originally known as the plumber from Konongwootong, McClure Plumbing is now proudly based in my hometown of Coleraine, at 62 Whyte Street. As a team-focused business, we chose Coleraine as our base to better serve our crew and our community.

Today, my main focus is Designing, Managing and developing young plumbers, helping them understand the importance of their trade and the vital role plumbers play in the community. I’m proud to mentor the next generation and pass on the skills and standards that matter.

Looking ahead, we aim to expand our shopfront to offer a wider range of products at competitive rates, while continuing to grow our services to meet the evolving needs of our local community and valued repeat customers.

McClure Plumbing covers all aspects of plumbing and earthworks. With strong connections across other trades, we can manage projects or work seamlessly alongside others to get the job done right.

We’re proud of our work, our team, and our community and proud to call Coleraine & Konongwootong home.

Thank you all for your support and we hope to continue to receive your work.

Breanna Harris - Administration/Accounts

Hi, my name is Breanna Harris, and I joined McClure Plumbing in November 2025.
I bring over 20 years of experience in administration and 15 years in accounts, with a strong background in hotel and hospitality, followed by the last 9 years working within an accounting firm.

This experience has given me a solid understanding of organisation, customer service, and financial processes.

I have watched Ed grow McClure Plumbing over the past 18 months and decided to take the leap to come on board and support the business.

My role allows Ed to spend less time in the office and more time out on the tools, doing what he does best.

I’m very friendly and always happy to have a chat so when Ed is out on the job, you’ll usually be speaking with me on the phone.

I look forward to helping expand the McClure Plumbing business and seeing what the future holds for the team and our community.

Callum Mcnabb - Registered Plumber & Gasfitter

Hi, my name is Callum. I grew up in the small town of Heathmere before moving to Hamilton at 17 with my partner to begin my plumbing apprenticeship at Peter Graham Plumbing.
In 2019, I joined Lenehans as a second-year apprentice, which is where I first met Ed.
I became a qualified plumber in 2021 and began working with McClure Plumbing.
Being part of the company’s growth from a one-man operation working out of a small shed in Konongwootong to the business it has grown into today has been an incredible experience.
It has given me the chance to upskill, take on leadership responsibilities, and develop a strong role within the team.
I enjoy bathroom renovations, maintenance work, and farm/excavation projects. Whether working independently or with the team, I take pride in leading and supporting the boys on the larger jobs.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me hunting, playing football or camping.

Michael Marsden - Third Year Apprentice

Hi, my name is Michael. I grew up in the Grampians region with my family and attended Baimbridge College, where I completed Year 12. I later moved to Hamilton at the age of 20.

From a young age, I enjoyed working with tools alongside my dad Jimmy. I gained hands-on experience labouring in building and construction with Robert Walter Building. This early exposure sparked my interest in the trades.

I started working at McClure Plumbing in December 2023 and began my apprenticeship in mid-January 2024. I’m now in my Third year and really enjoying the work, aiming to become fully qualified in 2028.

I pride myself on working hard while also keeping the job enjoyable for myself and the team.

Ed has created a workplace where we feel supported both inside and outside the business, especially when it comes to men’s mental health and allowing time for family, friends, and personal wellbeing.

I’m encouraged to continue growing, developing my skills, and building my knowledge across all areas of plumbing.

My favourite parts of the job include roofing, pumps, excavation work, drainage, and larger projects where I get to work closely with the team.

I’ve already seen the business grow from three to five employees, and from a small shed in Konongwootong to Ed owning a dedicated workshop in the heart of Coleraine.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and staying involved in community sports such as boxing and football.

Mitchell Lewis - Second Year Apprentice

Hi, my name is Mitchell. I grew up on my family farm in Drumborg and attended Monivae College.

I moved to Hamilton to begin my apprenticeship with McClure Plumbing in February 2025, and I’m now heading into my second year. I’ve really enjoyed the opportunities that have been given to me so far.

Since joining the team as the youngest member, I’ve felt incredibly supported by everyone especially Ed. It’s reassuring to have a boss you can talk to comfortably about both work and life outside of it.

Every day on the job is different, and I’m constantly learning something new. Travelling around the countryside to work on farms has been a great experience, giving me an insight into how each one operates uniquely.

My favourite part of the job is roofing it always brings its challenges. I also enjoy working on larger projects where I get to collaborate closely with the team. Each of the boys brings different skills to the table, and learning from them has been invaluable.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Once I’m qualified, my goal is to be the best I can be, provide for my family, and hopefully do some travelling.
